Tenant COVID-19 Resources
Currently, we are undergoing an unprecedented crisis in our country and we understand that paying rent may be difficult. We recognize that businesses and jobs are being affected. We hope and pray that this virus is not impacting your health or livelihood in any way. However, if you are searching for resources, it is likely that you have been personally affected by the virus.
We would like to clarify that rent is still due on the 1st of the month. Please note that the federal or state governments have not passed any laws that would abate the rent. If you have been impacted and do not think that you will be able to pay rent, please let us know as soon as possible. Please email the details about your situation, including documentation of lost income, and we will contact the owner. Not all property owners are able to offer help as they, too, must pay their mortgages, insurance, taxes, etc... Please note that rent will continue to accrue, but late fees will be waived. As soon as we have details about your situation, we will be back in touch.
Be sure to follow local news and officials to learn about the latest in our communities. If you need assistance finding food, paying housing bills, accessing free childcare or other essential services, visit http://www.211.org/services/covid19 or https://unitedwaynefl.org/get-help/emergency-resources-for-public-health/ for local agencies that may be able to provide assistance. Also, please note that you may be able to file for unemployment if you lost your job due to COVID-19, visit https://www.stateofflorida.com/articles/florida-unemployment/ to learn more, or http://www.floridajobs.org/Reemployment-Assistance-Service-Center/reemployment-assistance/claimants/apply-for-benefits to apply.
